Grupo Comeca strengthens labor management capabilities among senior leadership

A specialized workshop brought together leaders from the Group’s companies in Costa Rica to update their knowledge, analyze cases, and strengthen criteria for labor-related decision-making.

On September 18, senior management representatives from Grupo Comeca’s companies in Costa Rica attended a specialized Labor Law update workshop held in the Europa Room at Hotel Radisson.

Marco La Touche Arbizu, labor attorney and labor advisor to the Group, led the session, which was designed to strengthen the knowledge and criteria needed to address the different situations involved in managing labor relations.

Through a practical and participatory format, attendees analyzed situations related to the business environment and had the opportunity to exchange questions, experiences, and perspectives. This approach connected legal concepts with the day-to-day realities faced by those responsible for leading teams and making decisions within organizations.

The workshop covered topics including working hours, salary compensation, changes to employment conditions, and workplace discrimination, complemented by case analysis, relevant legal criteria, and the identification of potential risks.

The session also highlighted the importance of properly supporting labor-related decisions, documenting the rationale, and applying clear criteria that allow companies to meet operational needs while respecting employees’ rights.

The level of interest and depth of the discussions led to scheduling a second session in November, again at Hotel Radisson. The upcoming meeting will provide an opportunity to complete the remaining topics and continue developing a valuable space for learning and dialogue that strengthens labor management across Grupo Comeca’s companies.
