Grupo Comeca celebrates its 22nd Annual Run and Walk with over 300 participants
Sports, family engagement, and new experiences highlighted an event that continues to strengthen its place among the Group’s recreational traditions.
On October 11, 2026, Grupo Comeca held the 22nd edition of its traditional Annual Run and Walk, bringing together more than 300 participants for a day dedicated to promoting well-being, physical activity, and connections among employees, families, customers, suppliers, and guests.
The event took place in an enthusiastic and welcoming atmosphere, with running and walking routes that allowed participants to enjoy a shared sports and recreational experience. Favorable weather conditions also contributed to the successful development of the event.
This year’s edition stood out for introducing new experiences and achieving greater visibility. Channel 5 News provided special coverage, featuring interviews and highlights from the competition. Attendees also enjoyed new features, including food areas offering breakfast options and ice cream, as well as a sportswear stand. These additions enhanced the overall experience and helped create an enjoyable environment for families.
Recognizing dedication and sportsmanship
One of the most anticipated moments was the arrival of the runners at the finish line. Wesley Peraza secured first place overall, completing the course in 34 minutes and 41 seconds.
Employees from the Group’s companies also delivered notable performances. Néstor Rivas, from Envases Comeca, was the first male employee to finish the race, while Merlin Padierna, from Centroserv, was the first female employee to cross the finish line.
These achievements reflect the enthusiasm and dedication of those who participated in an event where personal effort, engagement, and teamwork took center stage.
