XXI Grupo Comeca's Road Race and Walk 2025

Twenty-one years promoting wellness, unity and sportsmanship

On Sunday, October 20, 2025, Grupo Comeca proudly held the 21st edition of its traditional Athletic Race and Walk, one of the organization’s most emblematic recreational and sports events. The activity brought together employees, families, clients, and friends from across the group, reinforcing integration and promoting healthy lifestyles.

The day began early with an atmosphere filled with energy, music, and enthusiasm. Participants started at Plaza Colonial in Escazú and completed a 10-kilometer route to the Grupo Comeca Recreational Center in Santa Ana, challenging their endurance and determination.

This edition marked a milestone, with a record-breaking 300 registered attendees. The walking category, which began at 6:30 a.m., welcomed nearly 100 participants and continues to grow as an inclusive, family-friendly option for all ages.

Before the race began, a brief moment of reflection was shared, followed by the official start at 7:00 a.m. The route, including the demanding climb through Alto de las Palomas, tested runners’ resilience in warm weather.

At the finish line, participants were greeted with applause, smiles, and a sense of accomplishment. Each runner received a commemorative medal, refreshments, and recognition from the audience. While top finishers were celebrated, the event honored every participant who embraced the challenge.

Beyond competition, the Grupo Comeca Athletic Race and Walk remains a tradition that strengthens unity, promotes well-being, and reflects the organization’s commitment to health and teamwork.
