Impresora Delta is an example of commitment to the challenge of labor inclusion.

For the past 30 years, Impresora Delta in Costa Rica has been promoting good practices in enabling employment for people with different abilities.

Currently, 10% of its staff has some type of disability: auditive, cognitive or physical.

The inclusion of this population has brought a very positive change in the improvement of organizational performance. For the last four years, the identification and commitment dimension of the corporate climate survey has been, on average, 85/100. Since 1992, when the first deaf person joined the cleaning area, the company has promoted awareness of the importance of equal treatment and opportunities for its staff. Between 1993 and 1994, four more people with cognitive, physical, and hearing disabilities entered the production area. In 2000, the doors opened for people with different abilities to participate in vacancies in the organization, and in 2002, Impresora Delta promoted the first person in the production area. Since then, the company has had an inclusion policy for new hires and internal vacancies.

Impresora Delta promotes equal opportunities to have competitive human capital, and beyond limiting the hiring of a person with a physical, mental, or sensory disability, it has focused on the capabilities of its people and the value they add to the organization. Although the average seniority of personnel with disabilities is, on average, ten years, these collaborators have received at least two promotions–demonstrating their commitment to the performance of their duties.

Lesly Zamora, a machine operator, shared his testimony: “I want all deaf people to realize that they give us opportunities here, we are the same as any hearing person, we can work and outperform on our jobs.

We celebrate Impresora Delta's commitment to solving one of the main challenges we face as a society: labor inclusion!
