Restructured its production operations to strengthen its long-term stability.
Grupo Comeca has made the difficult decision to adjust its operations in Argentina in response to the country’s current economic and market conditions. Last July, this process involved the closure of activities at the Monte Chingolo and San Rafael plants, consolidating production within the three remaining facilities.
Although a complex step, the decision was carried out with deep respect for the employees, who received the corresponding legal compensation. The company extends its sincere gratitude to each of them for the dedication and commitment they have shown during this process.
Argentina’s new economic model, combined with increased trade liberalization and imports, has significantly reduced local demand, directly impacting production levels.
In light of this reality, Grupo Comeca must adapt to remain competitive and ensure the sustainability of its operations in the country.
Today, the plants located in Pilar, Avellaneda, and San Juan continue to operate normally, representing the foundation for the Group’s long-term strategy in Argentina. With more than 450 employees in these plants, Grupo Comeca reaffirms its commitment to quality, timely deliveries, and excellence in every process—principles that have guided its operations for decades across the countries where it operates.
Grupo Comeca remains determined to face challenges with resilience, staying true to the values that have shaped its history since its beginnings.
