Promoting prevention and health awareness among the workforce.

On November 5, 2025, Envases Comeca held its first prostate cancer prevention talk, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about self-care, early detection, and the overall health of employees and their families.
The session was attended by approximately 80 participants from various departments, including both men and women, reflecting a strong collective interest in health-related topics and quality of life. The event provided an educational and preventive approach to prostate cancer, offering clear and reliable information.
According to recent data from Costa Rica’s Ministry of Health, nearly 1,700 new prostate cancer cases are diagnosed each year in the country. This reality highlights the importance of prevention and early detection as key actions to reduce risks and improve outcomes.

Recognizing this context, Grupo Comeca’s management teams have prioritized initiatives that promote a culture of prevention across the organization. The session held at Envases Comeca is part of a broader program scheduled to be implemented in other plants and companies within the group throughout 2025 and 2026.
Beyond sharing information, these initiatives encourage employees to become advocates for health awareness, fostering open conversations and motivating others to seek timely medical checkups.
Grupo Comeca extends its appreciation to all participants and contributors to this initiative, which strengthens a healthy work environment and reinforces comprehensive care as a core organizational value.
