Thus begins creating a Shared Services Center, an operating model specializing in providing services to the entire organization.

Amidst exponential growth in recent years, Grupo Comeca has flourished while firmly maintaining a culture of work, respect, and austerity. Reaching a level of maturity that presents a unique opportunity, the "Project Newton" initiative began—a strategic step to consolidate and standardize information and processes across diverse business units.

The project's name, inspired by Sir Isaac Newton's famous quote, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants," reflects the acknowledgment and pride in what the organization has achieved. However, it symbolizes the ambition to build upon those accomplishments to reach new heights.

The Steering Committee created a Shared Services Center, an operational model that provides services to the entire organization. This approach uses a shared infrastructure, governance, and model to support different geographies, business units, functions, and processes. It acts as a central organization that fosters collaboration and exchange to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and results across the company at all levels.

This model, proven successful in global and Latin American companies, presents an exciting opportunity for Grupo Comeca. This vision was shared with all group managers, who enthusiastically embraced it and offered sincere collaboration.

Currently, the project is in the planning stage, where surveys were conducted of employees in Costa Rica, and subsequently, surveys were applied to all participating group companies.

Grupo Comeca is confident that Project Newton will provide numerous opportunities to generate efficiencies and learning for all participants, relying on the collaboration of each team member to successfully carry out this initiative and continue building the future of Grupo Comeca together.
