Prodenvases Colombia Receives Recognition for Environmental Protection Initiative

Medellín Mayor's Office recognized Prodenvases for improving air quality in the city.

On November 29, 2022, the Medellín Mayor's Office recognized Prodenvases for improving air quality in the city.

It ranked at the oxygen level in the classification scale, averaging between 80% and 90%, a 90% nitrogen level, and a 100% low carbon level. The latter will be the new challenge for 2023.

The recognition is part of the "Air Quality Pact" campaign, which seeks to get companies to participate voluntarily in strategies to reduce CO2 emissions. Since August 2019, Prodenvases has actively participated.

This achievement has been possible thanks to Prodenvases’ employees who participated in different activities to reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to caring for the environment, such as:

• Carpool to work.

• Make CO2 measurements of your cars.

• Get to work by bike and use the lanes for them.

• Change in some cases conventional means of transportation for electric ones.

• Use the charging area for electric cars.

• Participate in sustainability week.

• Participate in ecological walks.

Likewise, thanks to the Integral Management System team that, together with Human Resources, have made plans to strengthen culture and awareness towards the environment.

Prodenvases continues to make essential efforts in environmental sustainability in the face of public entities and the government to position itself before the most relevant clients, such as Nutresa, in ranking its exemplary suppliers.
