Grupo Comeca's Athletic Race and Walk 2023

In the XIX edition of this event, which already has a long history, 250 people participated.

Grupo Comeca's Athletic Race and Walk is an event for collaborators, family members, and guests of the companies that are part of the Group. Its purpose is to promote the practice of sports, health, and recreation.

With great expectation, it was held on September 24, 2023, after a pause due to the pandemic since 2019.

From 6:30 a.m., there was music to cheer up, and the first participants appeared to pick up their bibs, put on their chips, and warm up. Those present met friends and colleagues from other companies in the Comeca Group, clients, and suppliers.

At 7:30 a.m., without any setbacks, the walk began with more than 60 participants. This modality allows families to participate with members of all ages and go at their own pace.

At 8:00 a.m., the race began with a few words of motivation from Mario Barboza, Human Resources Manager, and a prayer from one of the participants.

The finish line was located at the Grupo Comeca's Recreation Center in Pozos de Santa Ana, with a large audience supporting the runners who arrived gradually. A medal and applause awaited them. The winner, with a time of 34 minutes and 27 seconds, was 32 years old, Emerson Elizondo Cubero, a guest of Envases Comeca.

At minute 43 and 32 seconds, the first woman crossed the finish line: 42-year-old Silvia Cortés Sáenz.

In total, 250 people participated and were part of this great event. A special thank you to those who made this event possible, among them Sergio Loría from the Radisson Hotel, for his work with the photographs that allow you to relive the moment and preserve a beautiful memory.
