A day of connection, recognition, and team spirit ⚽ Empaques Santa Ana won 1st place. 🏆

On March 23rd, Grupo Comeca's recreation center was the vibrant setting for the much-anticipated kickoff of the 2025 Internal Football Championship. In an energetic atmosphere, employees and their families came together to enjoy a morning full of excitement, camaraderie, and team spirit.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the tribute to Fabián Capra Mesalles, General Manager of Allied Cans, to whom this championship was dedicated in recognition of his leadership. Mr. Capra had the honor of making the opening kick and officially launching the competition.

The participating teams were: Envases Comeca, Yema Dorada, Metales Flix, Impresora Delta, Empaques Santa Ana, Hoteles, Conservas del Valle, Industrias Unican, and Grupo Comeca Shared Services (pictures of all teams below).

As with every championship the Comeca Group has had the joy of hosting, the quality of the matches was top-notch. The plays and games reflected a level worthy of professional football, showcasing the commitment and talent of every team. Four of the nine teams advanced to the final stage: Envases Comeca, Empaques Santa Ana, Metales Flix, and Grupo Comeca – Shared Services.

The grand final was filled with emotion and dedication from all the teams. Empaques Santa Ana emerged as the champion of the 2025 summer tournament, standing out for their effort, discipline, and determination throughout every match.

Second place went to Grupo Comeca – Shared Services, whose players gave their all, playing each game with passion and heart. Metales Flix secured third place, celebrating their unity and drive to keep pushing forward. Meanwhile, Envases Comeca claimed fourth place, marked by their discipline, commitment, and continuous drive to improve.

Beyond the sport, the event symbolized the importance of connecting with colleagues, rekindling friendships, and building new bonds across teams and shifts. This year’s tournament was especially notable for the active participation of women, who took part both on the field and within the coaching staff.

All employees are warmly invited to take part in the upcoming Winter Tournament 2025, which, as always, promises to deliver an outstanding experience for the entire Comeca family.
